Hi Fellow Travelers! Based on the above map, I’m sure you’ve guessed I’m traveling with several friends to visit our neighbor to the North! I’m headed out to Canada, flying into Toronto, where we’ll spend about a week, being introduced to the city, while visiting the area in and around Niagara Falls.
Our specific itinerary includes our flight into Toronto, picking up our rental car, and driving to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a small village famous for Canadian wine and history. After our visit, we’ll head to Niagara Falls, visiting the Canadian and US sides. There’s lots to do there – a large Ferris wheel, tours, shopping, etc., so that will keep us busy for our visit! Once we have completed our visit to the Falls, we are off for several days in Toronto itself – doing the on/off bus and other museums, markets, and shopping!
With Toronto completed, we are flying to Calgary, in the Canadian province of Alberta, for a short visit before embarking on the Rocky Mountaineer for a tour of the Canadian Rockies. We’ll be visiting Banff, Lake Louise, and Kamloops, and ending in Vancouver, British Columbia, where we’ll fly home to Portland.
