Hi and welcome to my new blog! I’ve spent some time ensuring that last year’s disaster won’t happen again!
I wanted to provide information on my upcoming trip to Africa! For those of you who know me well, are you asking yourself “What – again?”. Yes – I’m headed to Kenya and Tanzania on July 1, 2023, for a 2.5-week trip that will include visiting Nairobi, about 10 days of safari, and ending with a few days to rest in Zanzibar! This trip has been on my radar for quite some time, I originally planned on going in 2019, before work interfered, and then the pandemic!
It’s said that good things come to those who wait! And for this trip, that’s true, as I’ll be traveling with Katie and old and new friends!
If you are new to reading and following a blog, here are some steps to follow:
The blog site is www.susancafrica2023.net. Once you’ve reached the landing (or home) page, scroll across the top to the “Blog” tab. Once you are on the Blog page, scroll down to the bottom, to the “Follow me on my journey” window, and enter your email address. Don’t forget to click on the bright blue “sign up” button. Once you enter your email address, you’ll receive an email notifying you of a blog update!
I’m off to practice packing! With the number of small planes we’ll be using to get around Eastern Africa, our personal luggage Is limited to 33 pounds. This just isn’t my suitcase, but my laptop, camera, cell phone, purse, etc. So – it’s time to do a practice pack and see how much it all weighs! I’m not too worried, last year’s trip to Europe involved just one suitcase that weighed 35 pounds, and I’m not taking nearly as much stuff!
More to follow soon! Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
So excited for you!
Can’t wait to virtually travel along!
